In a dry, climate-controlled room, under the warm glow of Infra red lights, Budhu give the finishing touch to a product.

Our products have 3 coats of protection. Two coats of nitrocellulose sanding sealer and one of nitro cellulose lacquer.
We lacquer by hand, primarily due to irregularity in power in rural Odisha (where we work), and also because airborne lacquer can be dangerous for the lungs if the team member fails to wear a respirator.
Lacquering in the monsoon period poses a challenge due to high humidity in the atmospere. So our team use special Infra red lamps to heat up the prouduct, and also use a room heater.
